So yesterday we did a little cleaning, including a few loads of laundry. Bill washed and waxed my car. Then we settled down to deciding what we are going to do. We are staying at Absoroka one more day and on Sunday will move down to the Grand Tetons National Park. We have reservations for 4 nights in Colter Bay Village RV Park. The last time we were here we wanted to stay in this park but couldn't get reservations. I called yesterday and since the season is over we were able to get the reservations and the price has gone down. Of course it is still higher than we would normally pay but it is a treat for us. We will make it up at the next couple of campgrounds. This campground is right on the lake in the middle of the park. After the Tetons we will move over to Idaho for about 3 days then we are going to Dillon, MT for a week. There is a Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival I want to see.
Since this was suppose to be our last night in Cody we already had plans to go out to dinner and to a show. We went to "Bubba's BBQ" for dinner. We both had baby back ribs and chicken. Of course it was too much to eat so we both kept our chicken for lunch on Saturday. You also got a choice of 2 sides. We had an appetizer of hush puppies. They were pretty good.
After dinner we went to the Dan Miller Cowboy Music Revue for a show. It is advertised as a Branson style show. Dan Miller is the headliner and he had 3 other people in the band. It was a 90 minute show and we really enjoyed it. They sang old time cowboy music, told some jokes, played some fiddle music and recited some poems. The fiddle player is a 20 year old guy who, at the age of 13, was the Montana Junior Fiddle Champion. He was really, really good. If you are ever in Cody during the summer you should see this group. They all sing really well and are having a good time doing it.
It was sprinkling when we got home and later the wind started blowing really hard. Rocking the rig hard. And then the rain came. But this morning the skies are clear and it looks like it is going to be a nice day.
