Chief Joseph Scenic Trail and Bear Tooth Mountains

After finishing the last two loads of laundry today and cleaning up the rig in preparation to move, we went for a drive. I thought it would be short and it turned out to be 188 miles. Most of it up and down. We followed highway 120 in WY which is the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway. Somewhere along the way we turned onto the Bear Tooth Scenic Highway. We actually drove part of that in Montana! They are both very beautiful drives but a bit long. It took about 5 hours.

We are leaving Cody tomorrow in the late morning to drive over to the Grand Teton National Park. We have reservations in Colter Bay Village RV Park. This park is right on the Bay and is quite pretty. I will take pictures tomorrow and post them.

Tonight is going to be allocated to cleaning up the rig and putting things away to get ready to travel. It is amazing what you take out in just a week.

Before I forget I wanted to tell you guys about something that happened on Thursday and Friday. When we got back from Yellowstone there were 9 newer Fleetwood rigs all lined up. They were either American Traditions or American Eagles. Pretty impressive. The park owner said they were traveling to an FMCA gathering. On Friday morning they didn't leave all together. Instead they left in ones and twos. The owner said they were headed to Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone. That should be an interesting site as they were all 40 foot or longer and when we had our 34 foot we barely fit there! OK back to today.

When we got home I fixed a quick dinner (leftover BBQ chicken). We have neighbors on our left side today. We have been here a week and now we get neighbors. I had to close one of my windows on that side as the guys decided to sit there and smoke cigars! Bill won't let me yell at them.

OK, enjoy the pictures. Time to clean up.
