It has been raining here for a number of days now. It is going to keep raining until Wednesday, then we get a few days relief before it starts again. I know the state needs the water but please spread it out.
We did drive into Orange County three times this week. Two were doctors appointments and one was a date with our kids for dinner. I saw my orthopedist and have arranged to have my left knee replaced. I will now have matching scars on my knees. The surgery is scheduled for Jan 18. I will come back to the motorhome after the surgery and do my physical therapy out here in Hemet. The doctor is good with these plans. We are trying to decide whether to get a hotel room for a few days, bring the RV out or get a hotel room for 1 night and have Bill stay at the house until I get released. We have a couple of weeks to decide.
Aimee and Nick invited us to the house on Saturday for dinner along with her parents. She has the house decorated with style. Dinner was fabulous. A mixed green salad with dried cherries (nice touch), a rib roast, mashed potatoes, and sauteed mushrooms was delicious. For dinner she made a chocolate pots de creme (a chocolate custard) topped with whipped cream and cherries. Between dinner and dessert the Yorba Linda fire department paraded around town collecting food for charity. They decorate the trucks and run the lights and sirens. We call it the Yorba Linda Christmas Parade.
On Sunday we spent the afternoon at my parents house as Saturday was my Mother's birthday. We went out to dinner with them to celebrate. When we got back to their house we looked for the support stockings that I am going to have to wear after surgery. Since we have both had knee replacements we have all of the necessary equipment and share among the family.
Since it is raining I don't know what we are going to do the rest of the week. I go to Weight Watchers tomorrow morning to see how I have done this week. I have my fingers crossed.
