Not much happening

Sept 6 - 9, 2012  Thursday - Sunday

We haven't been out and about much due to the fact that it is raining off and on.  Thursday we did drive into Pottsville to do a little research at the Historical Society.  I couldn't find anything that I alreay didn't have.  They didn't have much on Tamaqua.  I did find out there is a Tamaqua Historical Society but it is currently closed.  The building they use has some kind of problem so I couldn't do any research there. 

We did go to the two old cemeteries up on Dutch Hill.  One was the Zion Lutheran and the other was the St John Lutheran.  If either of my Anton (Anthony's) are there their stones cannot be read.  There are a lot of stones that the carving is gone.  I sent an email to the contact at Zion but haven't gotten a reply.  I may have to call to see if they have a list of internments. 

We also got Bill his CMP at the dairy.  He is probably only going to get the one.  I think they will be closing soon for the season. 

We finally did get our mail.  The lady at the Post Office didn't realize they had General Delivery mail in two different places. 

On Saturday Bill's Uncle Bobby, Aunt Ruth, Cousin Elaine, her husband David, and their son Matthew came out to the campground.  We had lunch in the restaurant at the campground.  My lunch was good.  I think some of the others was just so-so.  While we were having lunch it skies opened up and just let loose.  Good thing we were under cover.  There was also thunder and lightening so that meant the pool was closed and the rodeo that was suppose to be held was delayed and shortened.  I think everyone liked the motorhome and we had a nice visit. 

Today we drove into Lebanon to see a movie.  We saw The Expendables 2.  It was funny even though there is a lot of blood and guts.  It was fun to see all the older action stars in it and they made fun of their famous parts.  Tonight we are just going to hang out and plan our trip down to NC.  I think we might drive over to Lancaster on Monday or Tuesday.
