Wow, it is September already! My how the summer is flying by.
We got up and got ready so that we could walk down to the cafe for breakfast. The special today was creamed chipped beef on toast so Bill was really interested in that. I had bacon and eggs and they were good.
Our plans today are to visit Bill's Uncle Bobby in Tamaqua, PA. It is about halfway between here and the next campground so we picked today. We will probably see them again next week.
I have done a lot of research on the Betz family and since Bobby is the last of his generation I really wanted him to see what I had. He was happy to see everything and had a lot of questions. He gave me some pictures but I forgot to get names for everyone in the pictures so the next time I see him I will have to ask. He also gave me some info to follow up with.
Bobby's daughter, Elaine, and her family also came over as well as a cousin, Carolyn and her husband John. We all talked about what we knew of the family. I was able to clear up some of the people on the tree and show them what I had from Germany. I know Carolyn appreciated the info.
We took Bobby, Ruth, Elaine and her family to dinner. We spent a little time trying to decide what to do and wound up at the Tamaqua diner. The dinner was good. After that we headed home to the RV. We will see the family later in the week. They might come out to the campground and spend some time there with us.
That is all for now.
