Here are some pictures I took of the results of our being the Asst Wagonmaster for the 2013 Calif State Square Dance Convention. I will add more of the story later today.
First I have some bad news to report two of our favorite square dance callers passed away recently. Lee Schmidt and Speedy Spivack were some of the first callers we ever dance to and were amoung our favorites. They were very good friends and passed away within 24 hours of each other. One of our close Rustler friends also passed away. Don Peltz was a very close friend and passed away from long standing health problems. He will be missed and we are keeping Penny in our thoughts and prayers.
We had a good time at the convention but it was interesting to listen to some of the complaints we got from some of the campers. We had a total of 133 rugs come in. The majority of them were very nice and polite. There were a few though that we're pains to deal with. They wanted everything under the sun and thought the world revolved around them. We even got one complaint about the wind and dirt! You just can't make some folks happy.
We are getting ready to leave Calif in the middle of May. Our plans are not firm yet but we plan on staying in the northwest portion of the country. We will be attending the rodeo in Cheyenne, WY in July. We also plan on visiting Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley and the north rim of Grand Canyon. I am thinking about maybe attending the FMCA convention. It sounds like fun.
Rory is getting big. He is over 15 lbs now and getting to be soooo cute. I will miss him when we are gone. Thank goodness for Facebook and pictures to keep in touch.
That is all for now. Hope you have a good time.

Uhhhh...all I saw was photos of rigs and vehicles and hardly any people. What about the dancing, and eating, and fun???
If you come by me stop by. In Washington the Olympic national park is great and Hoh rainforest cool. When I went there it never rained on us either time!
