Wellton, AZ
Today starts our great adventure. We are pulling out of Chula Vista RV and Marina and heading east. It has been a rough weekend for me. I got sick on Friday and went to the ER on Sat. Turns out I have a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). They gave me some antibiotics and I am feeling much better.
The drive to Wellton, AZ was uneventful except for the idiot who tried to ride his bike into the side of our RV. We pulled off the highway and were making a left turn with the light, when I looked down and saw a guy who ran the red, on the wrong side of the road, and was headed right to the side of our coach! He would have hit about in the middle. He was able to stop but instead of going back to the corner he waited until we passed and then rode in front of our friends who were behind us! You can't fix stupid.
The park we are in isn't anything great but what do you expect in the middle of the desert? Gravel and palm trees, is what. We got settled in and most of us took naps. Those long drives are wearing the first couple of days.
It was Lydia's turn to cook dinner so we had hamburgers in her rig. My stomach is still a bit off so I didn't eat a lot but it was good.
After dinner we all went and spent a little time in the spa. It was really hot so we didn't stay long. Then it was early to bed.
