Dayton, OH
On Saturday we got up early. Nick was coming at 8:00 to get on the golf course. We picked him up at the gate and Bill signed him in at the course. He played 18 holes with 2 other guys. He said the course was good.
After Nick finished golfing he came to the rig and got a bite to eat. We then went back to the gate to get Aimee and Rory. We were all going to the swimming pool. It was a bit warm but the pool was cool. Ar first Rory wasn't sure he liked it but then we put a swimmie jacket on him and he loved it. It was almost impossible to get him out of the pool then! He could doggie paddle around and the jacket kept him afloat. We spent a couple of hours at the pool and finally convinced Rory to get out.
We headed back to the rig to change clothes and go out to dinner. We went to a local BJ's Brewhouse. I had their deep dish pizza and think it was pretty good. Not as good as the stuff in Chicago but it will do.
We spent Sunday and Monday not doing much. It rained most of Monday so it was not a day to go running around.
On Tuesday we headed down to the kids to take Aimee and Rory to the Warren County Fair. It was a fun but hot day. We saw a lot of animals being displayed, ate some junk fair food, and Rory rode some rides. That boy is fearless! There were a couple we though he wouldn't like but he was grinning from ear to ear after each one. He didn't particularly like the animal barns as they smelled. He got to touch a few animals too. It was a fun day for all.
