SNOW!!!

 Friday-Sunday, 12/08-12/10/2017

We spent a lot of time on-line or on the phone going through the entire list of places to change our addresses or bank accounts.  I also spent time filing papers in the office and getting rid of stuff I don't think we need any more.

The news has been warning us all week that the temps are going to drop this weekend.  They even predicted snow on Sat.  Well, they were right!  The timing was a little later than they said but it did snow.  We were only suppose to have .4 inches but I think we got more.  It has remained cold so it hasn't melted yet.  We are going to have to put salt out on our driveway.  We were out shopping and when we came of out Menard's we saw it was snowing.  This was about 1:30 PM

It never really let up the rest of the day.  We had Rory's family birthday party at 4:00 and this is what the front of our house looked like -

It kept up all afternoon and the drive home that night was interesting as there was some ice mixed in with the snow.  When we got up on Sunday, even the grass was covered.  So we survived our first snow in Ohio.

We have finally ordered the last pieces of furniture for the house, including the bed for the guest room.  Now I am working on decorations so we have been visiting stores in the area to see what we can find.

One thing about living here, I can now buy sweaters and tops with long sleeves.  In Calif it was always too warm for long sleeves, but not now!  So I have bought a few sweaters, sweatshirts and tops.  Bill has also gotten a few long sleeve flannel shirts.

We have been driving around the area trying to find places to eat and shop.  We are pretty familiar with the mall area and now need to head south a bit to check it out.  Maybe this afternoon.

We have been staying inside for the last couple of days.  Good thing we are retired and don't have to go anywhere.  I just need to make sure we have food for a few days.

That is all for now.  Bye
