Friday morning we didn't plan on leaving early as we only had about 70 miles to go but we both woke up early. We slowly went about getting unhooked and were still early. We drove up the road to the Walmart to fuel up and hook-up the Suzuki and were still early. We decided, what the heck and drove on. It was a relatively easy drive and we pulled in the shops parking lot around 10:30 AM. I called the park and we were able to go ahead and check in early. Once settled we relaxed a bit and went to Stormy & Bryant's house later in the evening. Ashley & Phillip came over so we spent the evening talking and joking.
Saturday morning we met at a local store and joined Stormy & Bryant in there car. From there we drove to Morehead City to see a car and boat show. There will be a boat race on Sunday but we won't be there for that. Bill did his regular wandering and checking out each car, this bothered Ashley as there were times we couldn't see him. It is something I am used to so I didn't panic. I figured he would eventually realize that I was sitting under the tent in the shade. It got pretty warm and the ocean breezes were a welcome relief.
After seeing everything they drove us back to our car and we met them at the beach house. We took a small detour to make sure we knew where the hotel was so when the kids get here we know where to go. We took a look at the ocean. Igor is effecting the waves here. They are starting to get bigger and by Sunday night they should be pretty powerful. The rip currents are also picking up.
Terri & Donny came by too. We had a nice time visiting with everyone. The wedding is in a couple of weeks so the details were discussed a bit. Bill took a tour of the hotel grounds with Stormy to We arrived back at the campground around 9:00 or so and went to bed early. Tomorrow brings another adventure.
