Wednesday & Thursday, Sept 29 & 30
The drought is officially over. As of noon today there has been 6.89 inches of rain here on base. Tropical storm Nichole made it up here. The rain has been non-stop and very hard at times. The wind hasn't been too bad but there are occasional gusts enough to rock the rig a bit. The weather guy says we have another 6-12 hours of rain. Bummer. We can't get reception on the satellite dish because of the heavy rain so we are watching over the air programs. Most of them are being interrupted by the news about the weather. The schools are mostly closed as many roads are flooded. We are staying in the rig. Good thing Bill dumped the tanks yesterday! At least I get to laugh at the folks that have to walk their dogs in this. They try to wait until it slows down but as soon as they get outside it get heavy again.
I'll update later if anything happens.
