Last few days before the wedding.

Tuesday - Thursday, Oct 5 - 7

The last few days before the wedding and nerves are starting to get frayed.  We did a little work to help get everything prepped.  There have been a couple of oh no's happening but basically things are going along nicely. 

Thursday afternoon we drove into Raleigh to spend the night.  It is a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive and we didn't want to do that in the morning.  The kids flight arrives at 10:00 AM.  We checked into the hotel and rested a bit.  Outside the afternoon rush hour is starting and the road in front of the hotel is getting to be wall to wall cars.  We haven't seen traffic like that in awhile.  We went to dinner at a local restaurant - The food was good, but there was one small thing I thought was odd.  We are talking about a steak and rib joint, OK?  Bill ordered coffee.  Now when I think of Texas and steaks I think of cowboys drinking out of metal cups around the campfire, don't you?  Not here.  They brought his coffee in a French press!  A little too delicate for Texas and steak! 

Anyway we retired back to the hotel afterward and relaxed.  We had brought our PC with us to test the aircard.  We are still having problems with it on the base but it worked just fine in the hotel.  Guess that means I really don't need to upgrade the card, it is the area. 

Everyone is getting excited about the weekend.
