Lovely colors

Friday, Jan 28

My leg is a collage of pretty colors.  I have yellow, green, brown, purple, some blue and other blended colors.  I guess that is a good sign, meaning the bruises are healing.  This morning we are heading into Orange County to see my surgeon and get my staples removed.  Hopefully that will make moving it better.  I am up to a 100 degree bend and only have 10 more degrees to go.  I am using the cane to walk since the walker won't fit in the rig very well.  I still the use the walker when we hike around the block as it is more stable on the bumpy road.

We plan on stopping at the commissary on our way home this afternoon to do a bit of grocery shopping.  They have those carts you can drive around so it should be OK.  I bet I am exhausted tonight and in bed early.

Being cooped up is getting to be really, really boring.  I am sure Bill is bored too.  He doesn't want to leave me alone for long periods so he is "stuck" here too.  I love that he cares that much.  I am starting to help with some of the housework.   I have done a bit of cooking.  Yesterday morning I put dinner in the crockpot and Bill finished it up when we were ready to eat.  I am still losing weight slowly.  Last night we took a ride to a Weight Watchers meeting to pick up some snacks as we had run out.  It was nice to get out for a few minutes.

So that is all.  I will update tonight or tomorrow on what the doctor says.

So glad to hear you are doing well. I am wondering how long the coloration will last on your knee. Mine lasted over a year and I still have a dark area! Mom says she thinks we should all go have a long-stemed Rose tattooed over our knee scars! LOL
I think I will stick to using the fake tattooes as do not hurt!
