The torture chamber

The home visits by the physical therapist have stopped and I am now visiting a rehab place.  You can definitely tell the difference.  The home therapist is a lot more gentle.  At PT rehab they work you right up to, and sometimes past, your limit.  Of course, I realize this is to make you better but during the process there are times you just want to scream.  I do enjoy the massage they give you at the end of the session as well as the ice and electronic stimulation.  You can get through the exercises knowing this is coming.

Bill was able to get the kitchen sink replaced last week or so.  The one we had developed a leak on the pull-out handle.  We did have to special order the faucet since it is a single lever and the ones at Lowe's and Home Depot had the wrong connectors on them.  It looks really good and matches the sink almost exactly.

I have been up and around more the last week.  We did make the drive to Valencia to visit our friends who were camping.  I was wrong on the time it took to get there.  It was actually 2 1/2 hours and 130 miles.   Long trip.  The last hour of the drive home was painful but I made it through.

Our friend Lydia was leaving to visit the emergency room when we arrived.  She saw signs that she was developing another kidney infection and wanted to nip it in the bud.  She actually was admitted to the hospital to receive antibiotics via an IV.   I have talked to her since then and she is doing fine.  Because of her kidney transplant she gets recurring infections and the faster she can catch them, the better.

So that is all for now.  Take care.
