The sun is coming up awfully early in the morning. I have been awake around 6:30 AM every day. We haven't been in any particular hurry to leave any morning so we generally pull out between 8:30 and 9:30. Of course, we are generally in the campground by 2:00 PM.
Today we are at RV World Campground in Rawlins, WY. For an overnight stop it is pretty good. One thing wrong is the wind. I mean WIND! It was so windy that we brought in our two slides on the left side of the rig. Luckily, we can still get into most everything with them in. Then my weather radio went off! It seems we were on the edge of a thunderstorm warning with heavy winds, rain and hail. All we saw of it was the wind. Later in the evening it finally died down and we were able to open the slides again.
Today we decided to have breakfast twice. We stopped about 100 miles away from where we left this morning for fuel at a Flying J. They no longer have their Country Kitchen restaurants but they do have Denny's now. We both decided to have breakfast instead of lunch. It was pretty good but my french toast was a bit stale. I probably should have sent it back but I didn't.
Remember the other day when I said it was so hot? Well, it has cooled off. I don't think it hit 70 today. We did get a few sprinkles while we were driving. Looks like we might have some rain over the weekend.
Tomorrow night we will still be in Wyoming but on Sunday we will pull into South Dakota. After getting our driver's licenses renewed we will do a little sight seeing. I didn't want to go out in the wind so I didn't get any pictures of the campground tonight. I will take some in the morning and post them to this post.
