One chore done

Tuesday, 5/22/2012

I got a call from the repair guy this morning and the replacement of the cooling unit has been OK'd by the warranty company.  Cool, all I have to pay is my deductable.  Now we are just waiting for the part to arrive.  Bill and I decided the earliest we are going to be able to leave is Tuesday.  So I made changes to our schedule and we are still on track.  It will just mean a few longer driving days.

Once we got organized we drove out to the driver's license place.  We were there only about 20 minutes when we walked out with our new licenses.  Not bad, in CA we would have been there for a couple of hours.  We did have to take a lot of stuff with us; our current license, our passports, our social security cards and a receipt from the campground.  Do they require all that in other places?  I don't ever remember having to take all that to the DMV in CA.  If course you only have to go to the DMV once every 12 years there.

On our way back to the motorhome we stopped and picked up a large cooler.  I was able to put just about everything into it.  Now all we have to do is keep it full of ice.  Guess I won't be going grocery shopping for a few days.  Towards the end of the weekend we might be eating out a lot.

There was suppose to be rain today but as of tonight we haven't seen any.  We have had a lot of wind off and on.

Dinner was interesting.  I cooked whatever meat that had defrosted.  I may wind up cooking all the remaining meat and then putting it in vacumn bags to put back into the cooler.  You can't refreeze raw meat but you can freeze cooked meat.

Other than that we didn't do much.  Tomorrow we have plans to go sightseeing if it doesn't rain.  So until tomorrow, have a good day.
