Rain

I woke up in the middle of the night to a tapping noise.  Seems it started raining pretty heavy during the night.  It continued to rain all day until about 20 minutes ago (5:00 PM).  I checked the weather and it is suppose to rain on both Friday and Saturday.  Oh well, we will get out and see stuff on Sunday and Monday. 

We went over to Outdoor Recreation to pay for our stay until Tuesday morning.   Wouldn't you know it, after we got back to the rig the service guy called and said our part was in.  He will be out tomorrow to install it.  I think we are going to go ahead and stay until Tuesday anyway.  We can't get a refund for the days we already paid.  The earliest we would leave anyway is Monday.  I am going to go over the schedule and see what I can adjust to keep Bill from having to drive a lot during the days. 

We also got more ice for the ice chest that should take us through tomorrow.  We may need one more small bag but that is all. 

Since we didn't plan on doing much today I went ahead and did a couple of small (and I mean small) loads of laundry.  If I do a couple of little loads every couple of days I can keep up with the dirty clothes.  I prefer to wash the sheet and towels at the laundry mat and use the bigger machines. 

All the frozen meat I had has thawed out so I cooked all of it today.  I put the chicken in the crockpot, grilled the pork chops and a small steak.  I then vacuum sealed them into serving sizes.  Now all I will have to do is warm them up.  I shredded some of the chicken and made chicken soup for tonight.  It was really good.  I have a couple of things that are going to require throwing away but not much.  I will also have to go grocery shopping this weekend to stock back up. 

The price of gas and diesel went back down today.  Gas was $3.54 and diesel is $3.83.  Not too bad when you compare it to Calif.
