Well I am breaking one of my own rules. We are only staying here one night and traveling on a Saturday! We usually check into a campground on Friday and stay over Saturday to leave on Sunday. But since we are in a hurry to get to North Carolina I am breaking my rule. This is a nice place to stay, too. We are spending the night in West Lake Park in Davenport, IA. It is a very nice county park and they even have full hookups and 50 amps! Here are some pics of our site and the surrounding ones.
They even have pull-through sites but they don't have sewers. Since we have a sewer I am doing a couple of loads of laundry. I really like having the washer/dryer in the rig. I have done a number of loads of laundry. Now I don't have to worry about stopping somewhere and finding a Laundromat. I haven't used the dishwasher that much. I still think I would prefer that storage area instead of the dishwasher.
After settling in we decided to take a drive over to the lake. I thought we could walk to it but you can't get there from the campground. This picture is for Terry. Too bad you couldn't travel with us since you missed things like this -

There are actually two lakes and they are separated by the road.
We also took a drive into Davenport. It sits on the Mississippi River and separates Iowa from Illinois. We will cross Illinois tomorrow and head into Indianapolis, IN for the night. We have to be in North Carolina in 5 days.
