Last week here

Tuesday - Friday,  6/19 - 6/22/2012

Tuesday night is free night at the theatre on base.  They were showing the movie Pirates (it is an animated movie) so we decided to go.  It was a cute movie and I would have liked it better if the family behind me hadn't been there.  Tow ladies and their 4 kids came in just as the movie was starting and had to sit behind us, of course.  Now this theatre seats about 1,000 people and there were less than 50 there so there were plenty of seats available.  Throughout the movie I kept hearing - what's that mommy?, Can I have some candy?, I'm bored, etc.  And they were not whispering!  Dirty looks to the mom's didn't help either as they just ignored us.  I almost stood up and asked them to move but I held my tongue.  Arrgh!

My birthday was Wednesday and we spent a quiet day.  We did go to the Olive Garden for dinner.  I know, it isn't a fancy place but I like their food.  I did have dessert, which is something I never do at a restaurant.  We shared an order of doughnuts with a dipping chocolate.  I have looked at this for years but never ordered it.  It was really good but we brought most of it home since we were both full. 

Thursday night we took our chairs and tables to the kids house for the party on Sat.  It is Nelson's first birthday party.  I do plan on taking a number of pictures.  Stormy had purchased a small ice cream cake for my birthday so we shared it tonight.  Thank you very much, Stormy, you didn't have to do anything.  I am too old for parties. 

We don't have any plans today except for doing some housecleaning and prepping things to leave on Monday.  I hope the truck parked across from us moves before then.  If it doesn't we are going to have a heck of a time getting out of here.  Tonight we plan on going over to the movies to see Battleship.  Hope it is good.  Have a good day
