We did a bit of looking at the Exchange this morning and I did buy a new top. It is hotter than heck here. It is forecast to be about 102 today! And the humidity doesn't help. We are attending a BBQ here at the campground tonight and I am taking pasta salad. I had most of the ingredients at home but did pick up a couple of things at the commissary to finish it up. I decided not to use mayo as the dressing due to the heat. I used a salad dressing I have - Vidalia Onion. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself.
The BBQ was good but my goodness it was hot! I felt like I could wring my top out and get water after only being outside for a couple of minutes. We met and talked to some of the people in the park and had a good time.
I got this picture from our friend Terry. He and Lydia stopped here for lunch. It is a restaurant called Big Judd's in Rexburg, ID. I hope it was good!
Around 10:30 or so the wind started blowing really, really hard and it started to rain. I turned on the weather radio and found out we were in a major thunderstorm. Wind gusts predicted up to 70 mph and quarter size hail. Luckily we didn't get the hail, well maybe a couple but nothing major. The wind and rain we did get. At one point the sirens went off but we didn't go to the bath house but rode it out in the rig. A little after midnight we got the all clear message. My nephew & niece (Brian & Jaime) invited us to come to their house but I didn't want to get on the road in that weather. We did see one medium size tree branch down in the campground. We pulled the slides in early and just enjoyed a taped TV show with one ear on the weather radio. It was around 1:00 AM when we got to bed. I am surprised that the awning of the guy close to us did blow off. He had it staked down but still, the wind was blowing pretty good. All that matters is that we are safe and sound.
Saturday is suppose to be in the 100's again. We are planning on going to Brian's house in the afternoon to visit. It should be fun. Then next week we plan on doing some exploring. I hope the heat breaks.
Here are some pics of the campground.

Your friend in the photo looks so angry. I could almost caption it--"WHAT!!!? No fries?!!!"
I have heard that there is record heat and humidity back there.
