Today is a travel day for us but we are only headed 90 miles north. We decided to go out to breakfast before breaking camp. Yesterday afternoon we drove around and decided on which restaurant to head to. We had breakfast at a place called the Hilltop Cafe in Montello, WI. Breakfast was very good. I had bacon, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Yummy. Bill had pancakes and he really liked those.
After breakfast we headed back to the campground and got ready to leave. We had to make sure we filled the fresh water tank as the next place only has electricity, no water or sewer. It shouldn't be a problem as I think we will be spending much time at the rigs.
We made the 90 miles to Wausau, WI with no problems. My GPS has a problem with the name of the town. It couldn't pronounce the name so it just spelled it out each time instead of saying it! It was so funny to listen to that. Our campground is in the county park, Marathon County Park. It is a very nice park with a lot of trees.
After we got settled in Lydia's brother and sister-in-law came over for a bit. We are going to their house tonight for dinner. Her brother, Eddie, arranged the campground for us. After dinner at their house Eddie drove us around town to show us the area. Here are some pics I took long the waterway, which is also a world-class kayak course.
Soon our day was over and we were back at the campground. Tomorrow we are going to visit a place called the House on the Rock. It is a bit of a drive from where we are so we have to leave early. Bye for now.
PS - My pictures from the House on the rock are going to take a bit of time to edit so it may be a few days before I get them posted.
