We are heading into the ball park to see 2 different games today. Before we go we are having dinner or linner. We decided it was better to eat our big meal at home and just have snacks or light food at the park. It was my turn to cook so I made garlic, Parmesan chicken tenders. They weren't crunchy like the chicken wings we had but they were good. Of course, the wings were fried and mine were baked.
Today we saw Mexico vs Panama in the 4:00 PM game and California vs Texas in the 8:00 PM game. Both games were fun but it was a bit warm in our seats. We used our umbrellas for shade.
We did have some really good roast beef sandwiches at the ball park. And we had funnel cakes for dessert. We have to knock off those goodies.
We didn't make it back to the campground until about 11:00 PM. We went straight to bed and straight to sleep.
That was it for the day.
Friday morning we got up and took a drive into Pottsville. It was about 55 miles away but we are taking Terry to tour Yuengling beer. There are no Little League games today. We had a nice drive and were soon in the city. Bill showed Terry and Lydia where he grew up and where he hung out as a kid. We had to stop for him to get a Coney Island hamburger. We each had one and walked around the mall a bit.
Soon we headed downtown to the Yuengling Beer facility. While we waited for the tour to start we walked around the museum/gift shop a bit. Soon it was time to take the tour. We all know that the only reason to tour a beer factory is to sample the beer and we were soon doing that. To me it all tastes the same but I guess the others can taste a difference. I like the birch beer they give to people who don't want regular beer. We are going to pick up a special blend of their Oktoberfest beer to take home.
We stopped at the Dutch Kitchen for dinner. The cook was having a good day and the food was really good today. I believe we all enjoyed our meals. It was an enjoyable day.
