Anticipating rain in the morning we decided to hook up the car tonight. That way if it does rain we won't have to be outside that long.
We are headed out of Michigan and into Ohio for a couple of days. We were originally scheduled to be there for 4 nights but since we extended our stay here in Michigan we will only be there for 3 nights.
The drive was easy but interesting. We stayed off the interstates and the toll roads and drove the 129 miles on the secondary roads. The biggest problem was the small portion of I75 we drove in Michigan. It was the worst road we have ever been on. All of us were apologising to I40 for calling it bad. Once we crossed the state line into Ohio the road smoothed out and was actually quite enjoyable. I75 - one more thing I don't like about Michigan.
We found our campground, Pier-Lon Campground, in Medina, OH with no problems. It is a very nice campground. The campground offers a 10% military discount so we were happy to get that. The owner then gave Terry and Lydia the same discount since they were traveling with us. Yeah!
Once we got parked and setup we headed into town to find a gas station and a grocery store. Medina is a small town but it is kept up quite well. We found a grocery store called Giant Eagle that we all liked. It is a very nice grocery store. The deli/bakery section is fabulous. We will probably stop by at least one more time before we leave.
Lydia fixed a good chicken dish for dinner and some peach cobbler for dinner. I think we need to stop eating. We are all gaining weight.
That is all for tonight. We explore tomorrow.
