Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame

Cleveland Rocks!  Or that is what they say.  We all got up and got on the road around 9:30 AM.  We were headed about 30 miles northeast to visit the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  Today was Terry's turn to drive but we did get there.  Before we left I asked him to locate the Post Office as I had something to mail.  We did get caught in a "traffic jam" downtown.  It was a funeral service for a service person who passed away.  The Patriot Guard was escorting the hearse and all the cars.  The front hearse also had a Marine in dress blues in it.

Using "Dolly", Terry's GPS, we drove right to the Hall of Fame.  We did have to go around the block to find a parking place but we did manage to get one right out front.  Once again we got to use a military discount.  Their senior discount was for age 65 or older and only Bill qualified for that.  I got all of us tickets using the military discount.  There are no pictures allowed inside the actual displays in the museum so I don't have a lot of pictures but here are the ones I do have -

We really enjoyed the 3 or so hours we spent inside.  They cover rock 'n roll from the beginnings until today.  Of course, we enjoyed the older stuff best.  I do recommend you spend some time here if you are ever in Cleveland.

After we left the museum Terry drove around town a bit.  We did find a couple of neighborhoods we didn't spend a lot of time in but pretty much it is a nice town.  We did see the stadiums the Cleveland Indians and Browns play in.  They weren't as neat as the Tiger's stadium and we couldn't really stop in the road to take any pictures.

On the drive home we stopped to have linner at Longhorn Steakhouse.  The meal was very good.  We won't be eating dinner tonight as we didn't have lunch until after 3:00 PM.

Back home we settled down to rest and plan for tomorrow.  I did a load of laundry.  That is all for now.

Rock and Roll hall of fame...do they have a statue of Gene Simmons from KISS in there? What about the Monkees?
