Saturday was another game day but many of the games were outdoor games. They had a tractor rodeo, bean bag baseball, horseshoes, and others. They had a breakfast of pancakes and sausage but we decided to sleep in and have breakfast in our rig. I heard it was good, though. Chili was once again served at lunch so we passed on that too. It was really warm today so when we weren't in the main hall we were in the rig and the air conditioning.
Saturday evening was the catered dinner, awards for the Saturday games, door prizes and raffle prizes. We didn't buy any raffle tickets so we didn't win anything. For some reason they gave me another pin for winning pinochle. Oh well, I took it.
When we signed up for the rally we were able to choose chicken and sausage or steak. Bill and I both selected the chicken and sausage. When we got in line to get our dinner we noticed the steak was not steak but prime rib. Bill said if he had known that he would have gotten that. The chicken was chicken thighs but there was no sausage. They also had scalloped potatoes (that had ham in it), corn, green beans, salad, veggie trays, a little bit of shrimp (Bill got some of the last few pieces) and rolls. The food wasn't bad. There was also dessert which was individual pies (cherry or peach) or cake (chocolate or white). We enjoyed talking to the various people who were at the table we sat at. After dinner there was a singer/guitar player who was pretty good. We stayed for awhile and then went back to the rig. Before we went to dinner it was clouding up pretty good and looked like it was going to pour. We decided to take the car instead of walking because of the skies. I guess it did sprinkle a bit as the cars windshield got dots on it, but it didn't really rain.
Sunday morning we did get up and go to breakfast as they were serving biscuits and gravy and sausages. I was impress with the meal. The gravy was good and the biscuits were light and fluffy. While we were eating some of the Cheyenne Good Sam people invited us to their events while we are there. We are thinking about it. After breakfast there was a meeting where they honored the members of their chapters that passed during this last year. There was a short church service and everyone then got ready to leave. We had to wait a bit before we could pull out because of where we were parked. No big problem as we were only going about 125 miles back to Rawlins. We did get out around 10:30 or so. The drive was uneventful and we are parked back at RV World in Rawlins. We will only be here overnight before we head to F. E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne tomorrow. We will be spending a month there so I may not post everyday.
Here are a couple of pics I took with my phone on the drive. The first is a picture of a canyon we passed. It doesn't show it real well as we just looked for awhile before we thought to take a picture. The second is a picture of the Grand Teton mountains in the background. The last is some pronghorn antelopes.
I hope you had a good day. Enjoy.
