More Samboree

We walked up to the main building this morning so Bill could have some coffee.  The have coffee and sweet rolls every day but we are trying to stay away from the sweet stuff.  Some of the games were already in progress.  We watched for a bit and visited with some people before heading back.  We also attended a seminar by the WY Highway Patrol.  Good info was given there. 

For lunch they are having chili and ice cream.  We had lunch back at the rig but did have some ice cream.  At 1:00 PM the pinochle tournament started.  There were 8 people playing.  Would you believe I won 1st place!?!  Luckily I had a couple of good partners.  We hung around a bit and played some more after the tournament was over. 

They are having a finger food thing tonight but we decided to go out and have a light dinner so that we wouldn't eat much at the get together.  We visited a local family restaurant that was recommended.  The food was OK and the service a bit slow.  One thing that will keep me from going back is that they allow smoking.  They have a glassed in room for the smokers but you can really smell it as soon as you walk in the door.  We also located the post office to mail some stuff. 

Back at the main hall, the food thing was just starting.  I had some fruit and dessert.  After the food there were some announcements and prizes were given for the games.  I got a pin for my pinochle win.  They had a cake walk that we didn't do (since we didn't want to win the cake), and then showed the movie RV.  There was also make your own ice cream (a bag of mix in a bag of ice that you squish around)  We got together with other card players and played again.  After that we headed back to the rig and sleep.
