We are tired of the wind

June 24, 2013  Monday

Somehow we got up really early today and were ready to go by 8:30!  We had originally planned to hang around until 10:00 or so before hitting the road but we messed that up.  Of course we didn't get to dump the tanks as the dump station here is closed due to a problem.  Not an issue as we are only going about 125 miles today.  We will dump when we get in.

It was an easy drive but we did have to pull over to let Bill take the plastic off the vent as it was blowing off.  Our new cover should arrive at the campground we are headed to today.  I can't wait until it is on.  We put the plastic on as it drizzled one day.

We stopped at a point called Sweetwater Junction.  It is part of the Oregon Trail.

Our part wasn't here when we got here (considering we got here before 12:00!) but was finally delivered later in the afternoon.  Bill got it installed and we are both happy now.  No big open hole in the ceiling.

We are at the Twin Pines RV park outside of Lander, WY.  We are here for 2 nights.  On Wednesday we head into Riverton to attend the Good Sam Rally.  It is only about 25 miles away so we will make it there early in the morning and hopefully get a full hookup site.  Anyway, this is a small campground but it is good for an overnight or couple of nights.  Tomorrow we will head into town and see what there is to see.  Here are all the pictures I took.

I told her you would have some helpful advice for them as they are newbies. She will need all the suggestions (cooking items needed, hints, etc) you can offer.
They plan to travel with their kitties.
