Raining
July 12 - 13, 2013 Friday - Saturday
Friday was a quiet day. We expect to get our car back today. I called them in the morning and they said it would be done by 5:00. We can then take the rental car back as Enterprise closes at 6:00. We did do a bit of grocery shopping in the morning. We mostly picked up fresh fruit and veggies.
We drove down to the shop and got there a little before 5:00. They were just finishing up and we were soon on our way back to Enterprise. The car seems to be fine but the big test will be tomorrow morning when we start it up. It turned out that the problem wasn't the air conditioner compressor (which was $500) but the alternator. They replaced that as well as the belts. They said the belts were already starting to tear up even though we got them replaced back in April. We expected that to happen with all the slipping it had been doing. Hopefully now the car will be fine for awhile.
Dinner was a simple deal with broiled pork chops, a salad, and mac and cheese. We didn't do much in the afternoon as it started raining and kept at it all afternoon all.
Saturday we slept in a bit. They don't play reveille on the weekend so that didn't wake us up and nobody was hooking up and leaving so it was a quiet morning. The car did fine when we went out so I am happy now.
We took a drive down to Walmart to pick up some things they don't have at the commissary. I put some ribs in the crockpot for dinner tonight. On our way home we picked up a sandwich from Subway for lunch. We aren't doing much this afternoon as it is starting to thunder and rain. We plan on going to a movie tonight. They have "After Earth" and it is only $2.50 per person so we thought we would go. I don't think we would pay full price for the movie but that price is good.
So it has been a quiet two days. I hope you have an exciting weekend.
