Visiting museums
July 14 - 15, 2013 Sunday - Monday
Sunday was a relaxing day. We planned to go to the movies but when it came time to leave the rig and head to the theatre the rain started coming down in buckets. We kept waiting for it to stop but it didn't. We finally decided that we weren't going to the movies. The rain finally did let up a little after 9:00 PM, which was the starting time of the movie.
We also went to check out a store around here called Murdock's. It is a combo pet supply, horse supply, cowboy and cowgirl clothes, boots, garden supplies, and car supplies. Bill has been looking for a particular type of boot but they didn't have it. Afterward we went to Sherri's for dinner. It was just OK. I have eaten at Sherri's before but I think they have changed their menu.
Monday we decided to go to the Frontier Days Museum. It was interesting but I thought they charged too much for what it had. I took some pictures.
You are not allowed to use flash in the museum so some of the pictures are not as sharp as I would like.
After we finished there we headed back to the base. We tried to go to the base museum but it is closed today because of budget furloughs. Because of the government budget not being settled they have to close things due to lack of funds. We will try to go later in the week.
That is all for now. Hope you have a good day. Frontier Days starts on Friday so I will soon have other things to write about.

I love the sculptures, especially the one with the poem. It was ve3ry rough for women and children on the trail.
