Downtown Cody

Aug 14, 2013 Wednesday We had a few plans for today. They first was to go downtown and walk around Cody to see if there was anything we wanted to buy. I did find a couple of things for our son and I got a jar of huckleberry jam. After we finished shopping we went back home to rest for later today.

Around 5:30 we headed back downtown where we had plans to spend the evening. Our first stop was the Irma Hotel for dinner. We decided to have their prime rib Special that included tickets to the Dan Miller Cowboy Music Review.  We saw his show in 2007, the last time we were in Cody, and enjoyed it so we are going back.  Dinner was a buffet.  It was fine but the prime rib was really good.  There was a salad bar, soup, corn, fettuccini alfredo, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, rolls, grilled cod, buffalo ribs, ham and of course the prime rib.  Dessert was puddings, fruit or jello.  We ate more than we probably should.  Looks like lights meals for the next few days. 

After dinner we watched the last little bit of the Irma gunfighters. 

Then we just walked around a bit until it was time for the show.  I forgot to take pictures at the show but we did enjoy it a lot.  Dan's daughter is part of the band and we remembered when we were last here how she had a small part in a skit. 

Soon we were back at the rig and getting ready to leave in the morning.  Our time in Cody is done.  We really enjoy this town and will be back in a few years.
