Great Falls, MT

Aug 19 - 20, 2013  Monday - Tuesday

Monday was a travel day to bring us about 200 miles north to Great Falls, MT.  I don't know why I didn't remember but we were here in July of 2010.  In fact, we had also been at the Old West Campground in Reed Point, MT.  We just spent 4 days there and neither one of us realized that we had been there before!  Must be getting old. 

Anyway, we are staying at the FamCamp for Malmstrom AFB.  The camp is not actually on base but just outside the front gate.  I will take pictures later this week.  We will be here for 2 weeks, until after the Labor Day weekend. 

We got all hooked up, went on base to pay for our stay, located the commissary and PX and a couple of other places.  We stopped at the clinic to see if I could be seen for an infected bite on my head.  It hurts like heck.  After being sent to 3 different places and still not seeing a doctor, we gave up and headed into town to an urgent care place.  Going to a military clinic would have been cheaper for my insurance but it is just too much hassle unless you are stationed there.  As we were pulling into the urgent care parking lot I realized I had used this place in 2010 to have my blood work done.  At least I was already in their computer.  The doctor gave me some antibiotics to help with my head. 

After the clinic we headed over to Freightliner to order the hub cap for the RV.  It should be in late Thursday so we will pick it up on Friday.  Then we headed over to Walmart to get my prescription filled.  They apologized as it was going to be a "long" time to get it filled.  They told me they were running behind and it would be about 30 minutes or so.  It took about 15.  Walmart has this new service where they will text you when the drugs are ready so we walked around the store until I got the text.  Then we headed back to the campground. 

Tuesday morning we went to the commissary to get some groceries.  My head is really sore and I am not feeling great.  I decided to grab a rotisserie chicken for lunch.  After putting everything away I took a little nap as my head hurts.  I took a Vicodin because it really hurt.  I got about an hours nap.

We have been watching the Little League World Series.  We really enjoy this and will one day make it back to Williamsport.  Some of those kids are big!
