Not doing nothing

Aug 21 - 24, 2013  Wednesday - Saturday

I haven't posted much as we haven't been doing anything.  I didn't feel good for the first couple of days and there really isn't much to do around here.  We will revisit the waterfalls next weeks so I will have some pictures.  I am feeling much better now.  The antibiotics have helped and my head is healing. 

We have been watching the Little League games.  Chula Vista, CA is going to play against Japan for the championship game on Sunday.  The US Final against Connecticut was a good game. 

We did go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday.  I got some nice fresh veggies and also some fresh huckleberries.  I plan on using those to make bread pudding when we get back.  There was a lot of fresh baked goods there but Bill kept pulling me away from those. 

On Friday we got the hub cap for the rig.  It certainly wasn't cheap but it fit and now our right side wheel looks like the left one.  We have decided that the reason it came off was that the screw that holds it on broke.  It is the thing that has Freightliner on it.  The screw part was still there but the head is missing.  We did stop and have breakfast at Perkins before we went to Freightliner.  We felt sorry for our waitress as there were a bunch of high school kids in the restaurant. 

After picking up the hub cap we went to the movies.  We saw Planes and it was cute.  We are talking about going next week to see We Are The Millers.

 This campground has been really quiet.  People come and go but there really isn't a lot of noise.  There are no train tracks close by, the highway is far enough away that you don't hear the car noise and there are no planes even though this is an Air Force Base.  There aren't even any crickets!  The wind comes up most afternoons which keeps me from putting the awning out in the heat of the day but by late afternoon it stops and I can.  I have been sitting outside a lot to enjoy the weather.  We haven't had any rain, either. 

My car is acting up again.  It is making that squealing noise again.  We are going to take it to a shop on Monday.  I guess the air compressor needs replacing after all.
