Sept 21 - 22, 2013 Saturday - Sunday
On Saturday we took a drive up to Hurricane Point in Olympic National Park. The views are suppose to be really nice. We only had one problem - it was cloudy and rained all day. We could only see so far. In fact, on the drive there were places that the clouds were so thick that we could barely see 10 feet in front of us. It was a nice drive though. Here are those pictures -
After we came down the mountain we headed back to the rig and spent the rest of the day. It rained off and on all day.
Sunday was moving day for us. We had decided to drive US101 around Olympic National Park. In better weather it would be a fabulous drive but the rain and clouds kept us from seeing everything. There were some really nice lake and river views but I didn't get any pictures of that due to rain.
We are going to spend the next 4 nights in Pacific Beach at the Pacific Beach Conference Center and RV Park. It is a military facility and it pretty nice. The RV sites are $20 a night and you get a site with water and 30 AMP power. There isn't any sewer at the sites but there is a dump station. It is right on the Pacific Ocean. We can see the water from our side windows. They have a hot tub over at the Convention Center and it is pretty nice. We tried it out last night. They also have cabins and a hotel. There is a restaurant and lounge onsite. Here are a couple of pics I took of the site and view.
We are slowly making our way down the coast and toward Calif. Hope to see everyone soon. Bye for now.
