Fish Fry

Friday, June 13, 2013

I don't think anyone realized that today was Friday the 13th!  I don't think we had any problems outside of the norm.

It was a lot cooler today.  Some of the guys went fishing but came back early due to the wind blowing too hard and being cold.  That is OK, I think we have plenty of fish for tonight fish fry.

Bill and I hung around the house doing some housework.  We did walk up to town to get some milk.  The prices of things are high up here but wow!  A gallon of milk cost $5.99!  The other choice is to drive 15 miles down the mountain to buy it a little cheaper.  I did do a little work on our itinerary for the next few weeks.   So it did turn into a nice relaxing day.

Dinner was scheduled for 5:00 PM but it was closer to 5:30 when we got started.  That makes it hard to figure out when to cook the side dishes but I think I did fine with the mac & cheese I made.  I don't particularly like fish and Bill doesn't like trout (too many bones) so I made us a chicken breast instead.  Here is what the fish looked like -

Afterward we had a nice fire but it got too cold to stay outside for long.  All in all, we had a nice day.

We are having some work done on the house back home.  Aimee sent me some pictures of the demo and the start of the rebuild.  Looks like it is going to be nice.  Here they are -

I hope you have a good day
