Good news, bad news

Wednesday - Thursday, June 25-26, 2014


We got up early on Wednesday to have our rig to customer service by 7:00 AM.  Yuck.  They got the rig in and worked on it all day.  We had a list of 3-4 things.  During the day we got updates and changed our minds on what was going to get fixed based on these updates.  Toward lunch time we got the bad news.  They needed parts for a couple of the things and it would be 3-4 business days before they came in.  We decided to wait it out and get everything done since all the parts should be in close to each other.  One thing on the list did get repaired.  We got the good news at around 3:00 when they brought the rig out.  Our extended warranty will cover all the work that needs to be done!  Yeah!  So it looks like we will be here until Thursday next week.  Oh well, at least it is free camping.  We only have electricity but there is a dump station and water just down the street.


After we dropped the rig off we went downtown to have breakfast.  We ate at a little place called Sally's.  When I went to pay the bill I discovered they didn't take credit cards.  Good thing I had cash in my purse.  But I did forget one thing.  I am so used to using a credit card and putting the tip on it that I forgot to leave a cash tip!  I didn't realize that until we got back to Winnebago!  I am so embarrassed.  We will go back for breakfast one day while we are here and I will double the tip. 


We have been eating in the rig with simple dinners and on paper plates.  We will also eat out a few times to keep water use down. 


So since we are stuck here for awhile and this is a little town, I probably won't post every day but only when we do something interesting.  There is a festival this weekend so that will be something.
