We had a long drive again today, 279 miles. I don't like this type of travel where we only stop for one night then move on. We have to do this to get to Winnebago on time.
Today is my 60th birthday. Funny, I don't feel any older than I did yesterday. We are stopped at the Creekside RV Park in Chappell, Nebraska. It is a small park but is a Passport America park so we only paid $12.50 for a full hookup 50 amp site. good deal! The old guy who owns the place is nice. We asked about a place for dinner and he recommended the bowling alley so I guess that is where we are going for my birthday dinner. I will take some pictures while we are there.
Here are a couple of pictures I took of the campground. Notice that the car is in the middle of the road! The owner of the campground said it was fine. He owns the road so he can let us stay there if he wants.
The temps have warmed up and I hope they stay that way for a few days. I was able to ditch my jeans and put on shorts.
OK, we just returned home from "dinner". I can see why the guy here said to go to the bowling alley. It is the only place in town, except for a bar. It wasn't much of a birthday dinner. I had a hamburger and onion rings, which was pretty good, and Bill had a chicken finger sandwich. Here are a couple of pictures of the place.
We also spent about 5 minutes and walked around town. Maybe we will have a better spot tomorrow. At least we won't be in a big hurry to leave so I can sleep in. Tonight we are just going to enjoy some TV. More tomorrow.

Hope you got my birthday "song." Wow! If you can tour the town in 5 minutes it must be very small!!!
