The rain started last night around 9:00 PM and it rained most of the night and into the morning. When we started getting ready it leave it let up a bit but it was still sprinkling. It drizzled off and on all day. The closer to Salt Lake City we got, the more it rained. It was also cold and windy. In fact, it was so cold that there was fresh snow on the hills surrounding the highway. Here are some pics -
When we pulled into Hill Air Force Base around 2:00 PM and it was pouring! We both got wet as we were hooking up. Once we finished it let up!
Since we had skipped lunch we decided to go out to eat. I want to thank Lydia and Janie for the gift cards to Cracker Barrel. That is where we ate. So yeah, free dinner! I had chicken fried chicken and Bill had chicken and dumplings. Both meals were good and the service was great. Our food came quickly and was got. We were very happy with the meal.
On the road back we looked at the hills that surround us and there was fresh snow on them too. Unfortunately, by the time we got back to the RV the clouds had blocked the hills. I will get some pics tomorrow. We aren't going to do much in the way of exploring the area but are taking advantage of our stay here to grocery shop and rest up for the rest of the trip. If it doesn't stop raining we may not get all that done.
So that is all for today. Have a good night.
