Waiting, waiting, waiting

Monday - Tuesday, July 14-15, 2014


They started working on our rig Monday morning.  They kept trying things and then turning the air on but no compressor.  They decided that the board was bad and a new one was ordered.  I won't be paying for that.  We moved from the back of the service area to a side area where we have 30 amps and a water connection.  We still have to be careful of our water use but at least we won't run out of fresh water.  The board is suppose to be here on Wednesday.  The weather is getting cooler with the high on Monday in the 80's.  Monday night it dropped down nicely into the 50's.  During the day Tuesday it stayed in the upper 70's-low 80's.  Having the big fan has been nice. 


Monday we tried to find a barbershop for Bill.  His hair was getting raggedy.   We found 2 that were not open on Monday's and finally found one that was open.  Only problem was that the first appointment they had was about 2 hours away.  I never heard of appointments at a barbershop before.  So we made the appointment, went back to the rig and had lunch.  When we went back he got his cut and a massage and they shaved his neck.  He really liked the pampering. 


Tuesday we decided to try CiCi's Pizza for lunch.  It wasn't bad.  They have a lot of options for the pizza, plus you could custom order one.  They also had a small salad bar and a pasta bar.  I didn't try the pasta but the dessert bar was good.  They had good cinnamon rolls and some garlic knots I liked.  We have seen these in a lot of places but had never been to one.  I would go again. 


Late Tuesday afternoon they told us the board was in and they will be working on the rig first thing in the morning.  Even if they finish during the day we won't be leaving here until Thursday at the earliest.  I want the air to run for 24 hours before we leave.  I certainly don't want to come back again.


Both Monday and Tuesday nights we ate in and had leftovers.  We are using paper plates, etc, to keep the water use down.  I don't like using them but we do what we have to.
