Recap

Nick, Aimee and Rory flew out to visit for 10 days.  I stayed at Ashley and Phil's house and babysat Nelson when the others went to the airport to pick them up.  It was really good to see them again.  We missed the little guy.  They are staying at Ashley's for the time they are here.  That way Rory and Nelson can get to know each other.

Stormy's 50th birthday party was held at her house.  Tony came over and BBQ'd a half pig and it was yummy.

We had all kinds of side dishes to go along with it.  Here is a beer cake someone brought for Stormy

We rented a bounce house for the kids.  We weren't sure if they were going to be able to use it as it started raining before the party.  Luckily the rain stopped and we were able to inflate it.  The kids had a good time running around in it, even if it was hot and muggy.

Everyone had a great time at the party.

Later in the week we took the kids down to the NC Aquarium.  Their summer display was about dinosaurs.  Rory really enjoyed looking at the moving replicas.  He also enjoyed the fish

We also stopped at Atlantic Beach to look things over.  Rory wasn't too thrilled with the sand.  Aimee and Rory got hit by a wave when she turned her back to the water.

After that we went to a local restaurant called Floyd's 1921.  The food was really good, better than the meal we had at Ribeye's a couple of days before.  We also had ice cream at the Cow Cafe and it was good.

Rory loved playing on some of Nelson's toys in the backyard.  Especially the swing set.

We spent a lot of time with everyone and the kids had a good trip.  The plane flights weren't the best but they would love to come out again.  We will have to see about that.

We have now moved on from New Bern and are at Sea Mist Campground that is run by Oceana Naval Station.  I will post about that tomorrow.  Here are all the pictures.
