We got lucky and Kirtland AFB had diesel at their gas station and it was $3.42 a gallon! We topped off the tank and headed out.
Out drive today would be long and boring, about 300 miles, all of it on I40. Boy, you put Tecas, New Mexico and Arizona together and it is a long road with not much to look at
We are timing our fuel stops so that we can top off in AZ before crossing into CA. It is much cheaper here. Anyway we got fuel in Winslow, AZ and headed to the campground. We are spending the night at the Meteor Crater RV Park. It is right off the highway heading to the crater. We decided not to go to the crater. The park is a nice typical desert park. No grass, just rick and cactus but they keep it up nice. We took a water and electric site but only used the electric. The sites are nice and long. I think it is a bit over priced but is better than most other parks around. It is gated so you feel safe. We would stay again. I forgot to take pictures.
The wind was blowing like mad but it was on the cooler side. We had a very nice sunset with the skies turning a deep red.
For some reason our satellite dish wouldn't go up so we settled for over the air TV which meant the football games. Oh well, I read my Kindle. The dish did work in the morning so we don't know what was wrong. We will have to test it again on Monday night.
We are back on Pacific time so this will be the last time change until Sunday. Summer is the time of year that AZ is on the same time as CA.
That is all for now. Bye
