Oklahoma City, OK

Monday-Tuesday, Oct 20-21, 2014

Monday's drive was 245 miles.  We decided to take part of the Kansas Turnpike to make it an easier drive.  The cost was only $14.00.  They charge by axles, not weight like Pennsylvania does.  When you consider the savings in fuel cost it was a good deal.

We landed in Oklahoma City, OK for the next two days.  We are staying on Tinker AFB at the Famcamp.  We stayed here four years ago.  The sites are a bit tight but acceptable.  I am glad we are in the row we are in.  The ones in the first row are difficult to get into since the road is narrow and backing up is tight.  For $17.00 a night it is not bad.  There is a lake right across from us and they say it has fish in it.

We went to the commissary on Tuesday for our last stock up shopping.  I have to get my fridge empty for going to the folks house.  We also went into town for a stop at Walmart to get a prescription filled.  Since we had to wait a bit we went and found a car wash to clean the car.  We also stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch.  Haven't been to one of those in a long time.

Bill bought some software and we spent time installing it on the computers.

I tried to call the next campground I have scheduled but the phone number is no longer in service.  I decided to chose another one instead of hoping the first one is open when we get there.

We will be traveling fast for the next week to get back to California for our campout.  Hope everything goes fine.
