We had a short 135 mile drive today but we knew there was suppose to be rain in the afternoon so we took off around 9:00.  The road wasn't as bad as we thought it would be (they say around here that they have the best roads money can buy), but we did hit a couple of rain storms.  The directions to the campground say the roads are rough and there is a low tunnel.  The roads were fine but the tunnel was low.  I think we all have less than 12 inches clearance.  They had a bypass road but don't have a sign for that until you are already committed to the tunnel!  When we leave here we will be going our separate ways so these are our last few days together.

We got to the campground but the office was closed for lunch.  They skies were threatening and the wind was picking up so we really wanted to get hooked up.  Bill talked to a guy mowing the lawn and he said to go ahead and take the first three spots.  We quickly did that and beat the rain.  When the office staff got back from lunch we went in and paid.  The campground is nice.  There are actually 2 separate campgrounds here.  One they put monthly people in and one for short timers like us.  The short timers get the new campground.  It is very nice with concrete pads and new hookups.

Once the rain stopped we headed over to the PX and Commissary.  Just a quick look at the PX and we picked up a couple of things from the Commissary.  Lydia is in charge of dinner tonight so she needed a couple of things.  We had roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, bread and apple/crescent rolls for dessert.  We spent some time talking about what we are going to do tomorrow and decided to meet at 9:30 AM to head to the ticket office to see about tours.  We have 3 days here so we don't have a lot of time to see stuff.

After dinner Bill and I went back to our rig.  I checked out the local TV for weather and we should have a nice day tomorrow, hot and a little muggy.  That is all I have for now.  I should have a lot of pictures tomorrow after the city tour.  Check back then.
