WDW, Day 4

Wednesday, 6/10/2015
Fort Wilderness
Walt Disney World

We don't have any real plans for today.  It is a resting day.  We did take the bus to the Outpost and picked up a golf cart to use today.  This will allow us to drive all over Fort Wilderness and see things that we haven't seen yet.  We didn't get the speediest car out of the bunch but it does run.

We decided to go "looping".  This means to drive through the various loops and check everything out.  We are in a Premier site, the most expensive and roomiest sites.  They have Preferred sites, which are by the Settlement, and Full Hookup sites which are mostly pet area sites, and tent sites.  There are also cabins you can rent here.

I chose a Premier site as they are designated for big rigs.  Now that I have seen the Preferred sites I would stay in one of those due to location.  We are very close to the Meadows Recreation Area.  This is the area where there are two pools (one kiddie and one for bigger people) and a hot tub.  It is very busy most of the time.  It is also where the campfire, sing-along, and movie is every night.

You can also rent a kayak and paddle the little river.  Oh, you can rent a bike here too.  Lots to do to keep you busy.  Some people come here and never go into the parks.  They just spend their time in the campground.

After looping for awhile we went back to the rig.  I did some laundry and we spent the day resting.  I fixed dinner in the rig.  At these prices you can't afford to go out every day.  It did start raining in the afternoon and kept it up most of the rest of the day.  It did let up for a bit after dinner so we headed over to the hot tub.  The one close to us was packed with kids so we headed to the pool and hot tub that is over by the cabins.  There was nobody there when we got there.  Three people did eventually come over.  It started to sprinkle but we stayed in the hot tub until it turned into honest to goodness rain.  We are now back at our rig making plans for tomorrow.

I took a picture of my Magic Band -

Bill has a blue one,  See the Mickey Mouse?  You tap that to the band reader and you can charge everything you buy.  It is also how you open gates and doors to the bathrooms.  It is also your Fast Pass.  You tap Mickey and it lets the ride operators know if you can go in or not.  You can only use your Fast Pass during your assigned time.  It does keep you from having to carry a lot of stuff with you.

I think it is going to rain off and on all night.  That means we are in for the night.  Tomorrow we head to the Animal Kingdom after we return our golf cart.  I hope I get a lot of good pictures tomorrow.  Have a good day.
