We had our plans all planed out.  We left the campground in Fayetteville early and only had about 150 miles to drive.  Just as we were getting dressed there was a severe thunderstorm warning for the area we were heading through,  Ok, we would be behind it so we took off.  We hit light rain but never anything heavy.

We had called a repair place a couple of weeks ago and asked them if we showed up on the 13th could they take the measurements for the awning slide cover and the part number for the step, order the needed parts and then let us know so we could bring the rig in for repair.  They said fine, come on in when you get here.  So we went on in.  The lady we talked to said, "Oh, there is nobody who can look at your rig today.  We can make an appointment for two weeks for now!"  Really?!  What happened to come on in?  We were irritated but there really aren't many repair shops around here.  The closest one is over an hour away.  She said to call on Monday and maybe her boss, who was on vacation this week, could work us in.  We left.  They had rigs blocking their exit so we had to disconnect the tow car and turn around.  Oh, did I mention it was raining and their lot is dirt or mud?  On the way to the base I thought, OK, we will take the reservation in case her boss can't get us in next week.  I called her back and she put us down.  She also said if anything became available this week she would call.  Bill is going to call a place we have used on the other side of the state and we may just wait until we get there to get the work done.  So at this point I don't know when we will be leaving here.  It will depend on when she calls.

We got setup on base.  We are just one site over from where we were last year.  I will take pictures tomorrow as it is raining.  After resting a bit we called Stormy and headed over to her house to visit.  Everyone came over and we had a good time together.  We will see them many more times over the next two weeks.

We got back to the rig around 9:00 PM and settled in for the night.  We also went through all of our mail.  Stormy was beginning to feel like a Post Office Box!  Ha Ha.  Tomorrow I need to deal with all that.

Have a good day.
