Chattanooga, TN Day 1

Sunday, 8/23/2015
Camping World Campground
Chattanooga, TN

We left Pigeon Forge around 9:30 AM and headed toward I40.  I was surprised at the traffic that early on a Sunday.  We finally made it to I40 and it got better.  Of course, it also started raining at that time.

We stopped west of Knoxville at a Flying J for fuel.  Fortunately the rain had let up and we didn't get wet walking into the Denny's for breakfast.  We did get wet when we left.

It rained most of the way to Chattanooga.  We are camped in a campground attached to the Camping World here.  The campground is normally $20 a night but because we paid our annual dues for Good Sam/Camping World ($25) we only had to pay $20 for three nights!  Good deal.  Our site is a 30 amp site as the few 50 amp ones were full.  There are a lot of trees here but we were able to find a site that if we parked toward the rear we could use our satellite.  The sites are a little tight but fine for using as a base site to tour the area.

We did drive into town to find a Lowe's/Home Depot to get a couple of things then hit a Walmart for a few groceries.  Then it was back to the rig for leftovers for dinner.

Bye for now.
