Chattanooga, TN Day 2

Monday, 8/24/2015
Chattanooga, TN

I guess a lot of people in the park had appointments to have their rigs worked on as they were all up and out about the same time.  Guess we will find out when they return tonight.

I did take a couple of pictures of the campground.

After getting going ourselves we decided to check out Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain.  We were here a long time ago but thought it interesting enough to go back.  You take a guided tour through the caverns until you get to the waterfall.  When you arrive it is dark in the cave but soon lights come on and they change colors.  It is pretty impressive.   They have named some of the formations after what they thought they looked like.  Here are a few pictures.

Now here are a few of the waterfall.  The falls are not called Ruby falls because of a red color but because that was the name of the wife of the gentleman who discovered the falls.

Ruby Falls is located on Lookout mountain.  Here is what the city of Chattanooga looks like from up there.

We drove around a bit after our visit and then went home.  The park is starting to fill up again.  We met our next door neighbors and they were fun to talk with.  A Vectra pulled in in front of us.  We will have to introduce ourselves and compare notes.

Have a good day.  Here are all the pictures I took.
