Oops

We had a planned trip of 173 miles today so we weren't in a big hurry to get on the road.  The plan was to stop at the Flying J just up the road and then take off.  Well, you know what they say about best laid plans.  The Moore's and Kinkelaar's got off just fine but when we started the rig and were raising the jacks I heard a hissing sound.  At first I thought it was the tire leaking air.  Then we decided it had to do with the air bag.  Hoping it was just a stuck valve we slowly made our way down the street to the Freightliner dealer.  We called the others and told them we would meet them at the campground when we finished.  Ha ha.  We spent most of the day in the drivers lounge (these guys mostly service the big trucks you see driving down the road), we found out they needed to replace the airbag and they would have to order it.

At first I thought we would have to stay in a hotel and made a reservation at the place the truckers recommended.  Then the mechanic said we could drive it so we went back to the campground that was just down the street.  This is a better solution as we are comfortable in our rig and don't have to pack stuff and take Lola to a hotel.  So we are now stuck in Albuquerque until at least Monday.  The part should arrive on Saturday and we should get it installed on Monday.  How far we travel after that will depend on what time they finish the rig.  We will have at least one long day to travel to get into Branson by Friday next week.  We have tickets to a concert that night.

I made dinner for the two of us.  It seemed strange to be eating by ourselves.  We had leftover chicken, leftover asparagus and sweet potatoes.  Just enough for a nice dinner.  Afterwards we went to the spa but the water wasn't too hot and the bubbles weren't working.  We didn't stay very long.  We are going to look at going to a couple of museums this weekend.

I talked to Terry and we all made the appropriate changes to our reservations.  We will let them know when we plan on being in Branson once the work is finished on Monday.  It will either be Thursday or Friday.  They will keep us updated with road and campground conditions.

So we are settled in for our quiet weekend.  No pictures today.  Have a good day.
