Dayton, OH
We spent Friday doing stuff around the rig. We did laundry, cleaned, went grocery shopping, found the RV store to pick up a new window strap, and generally did nothing. We did walk Lola a few times and sat outside enjoying the weather. It has been nice here the last few days.
On Saturday it was decided that we would meet the kids at the park. Rory played for awhile and then Aimee and I went to the grocery store to pick up a picnic lunch. We got fried chicken, potato salad, broccoli salad, pasta salad, and fruit for Rory. It was a nice lunch. Rory played some more and Lola ran around too. At one point she decided not to listen and ran up on the playground equipment! She wouldn't go down the slide so we had to get her to retrace her steps. The kids at the park thought that was funny. Of course I forgot to take pictures.
After lunch we drove into town and had ice cream at a little shop called Graeter's in Centerville. I had a flavor called black raspberry with chocolate chips. It was really good.
After ice cream Bill and I headed back to the campground. We rested a bit and then walked over to get the shuttle to the free concert tonight. They planned on a lot of people as they had a large grassy area next to the campground as a parking lot. There were not many people parked there, just a few of us from the campground standing around waiting for the shuttle. It was suppose to start coming by at 5:00. We got there around 5:45 and it hadn't been by yet. One of the guys who has a golf cart drove over to the hanger to see what was going on. The bus drivers didn't know they were suppose to come over! A bus finally showed up and we got to the hanger. By this time most of the seats were taken. We found a couple of spots in the bleachers in the back of the place. They had a B17 plane at the hanger doors as a back drop.
The band started a little after 7:00. The Lt Dan Band is named after Gary Sinise's role in Forest Gump. He plays bass in the band and does not sing. He did do some talking and introduced the members of the band. They cover songs from other artists and did a wide variety of songs. From Rock and Roll to Country to Let It Go. We enjoyed it.
Here are a couple of pictures.

Soon we were resting in the rig and went to bed. Here are all the pictures I took.
