Green River, UT

Green River, UT

Today was a fairly short driving day, only 189 miles, into Green River, UT.  We were in no hurry to get out but were on the road around 9:30 AM.  We descended out of the cool mountains into the deserts again.  The temps didn't get too bad though.

Our stop tonight is at the A OK RV Park in Green River, UT.  It is a PA park so it is only $17 for tonight.  The park is barely open.  I think there are new owners and they are trying to fix it up.  They must only be letting a few people stay each night.  We don't have 50 amp service but will survive with 30 amps.  We haven't had the problems our friends did when they were here last month.  They had the power going on and off.  We haven't had that.

The park had a "park full" sign out front so people can't just pull in.  Right now the park doesn't look too great.  I hope they get it taken care of for the future.  There is a park just down the street called Shady Acres.  It has never been reviewed on rvparkreviews.com but didn't look too bad.  I looked up their website and they are about $39 a night.  There is also a state park across the road.

We decided to eat out tonight.  We went down to West Winds, which is a truck stop.  There isn't much in town.  The food was OK.  Nothing great.  The other restaurant in town, our friends ate at and didn't like it too much.

So that is all for now.
