Utica, IL
We had a drive of about 200 miles today. We followed I80/90 toll road for awhile (cost $11.70). We also had a short distance on I80 that cost $2.55. We tried to stop at a rest center but they were closed so it was a straight drive.
We are spending the night at Hickory Hollow (PA) in Utica, IL. It is a nice place for $20 a night. It is cash only. I would stop here again. Down the road is the JC Whitney outlet store but we didn't need anything.
I fixed chicken and shrimp fried rice for dinner. Haven't made that in awhile and it good.
It is hot here. The temps were 87 but it felt like 95. The mugginess will kill you.
So it was a nice day. Tomorrow we hit Iowa. Oh, we did pass into Central Time today.
